JCF4 call for paper

The next JCF meeting JCF4 is now arranged by Prof. H. Yamada and his staff to be held on October 17-18, 2002 at Iwate Univeristy, Japan. This is the first circular to call for paper. At the last ICCF9 meeting at Tsinghua Univeristy, Beijing China, we have seen some exciting results of experiments which would bring a break-through for CF phenomena to win citizenship among established scientific societies. In the coming JCF4 meeting, we can expect rapid progress in experiments and theory toward break-through. Please be ready to attend JCF4 and inform poeple around you.

JCF4 Meeting (The 4th Meeting of Japan CF-Research Society):

Date: October 17-18, 2002
Place: Ichiyu-Kaikan, Faculty of Engineering, Iwate University,
Morioka-city, Japan
Registration fee:@5,000 yen
Reception fee: 5,000 yen

Abstract: A4 free format (Margin Top 25 mm, Left, Right and Bottom 20 mm at least), one page in English must be sent to JCF-office (Takahashi-labo., Osaka University: mohta@newjapan.nucl.eng.osaka-u.ac.jp) via attached file of e-mail, before the dead line of September 13, 2002.

Proceedings paper: A4 5-pages limit, 9-point letter in English and free format, should be sent before the dead line of November 30, possibly via attached file of e-mail, to yamada@dragon.elc.iwate-u.ac.jp

CALL FOR PAPERS: The 3rd Japan Meeting on Nuclear Reactions in Solid (JCF3)

Dear JCF members and CF-research colleagues:
The research activity on nuclear-reactions-in-solid (cold fusion) grows steadily in Japan. Since the last meeting (JCF2) at Hokkaido University, we have been informally aware of new progresses on detection of excess heat, neutrons, He-4, X-rays and "transmuted" products, from several groups, and of innovative proposals on theoretical models and analyses. The International Conference ICCF9 is now scheduled on May 19-24, 2002, in Beijing China (http://iccf9.global.tsinghua.edu.cn/iccf9.htm). So the JCF3 meeting on October 25-26, 2001, at Yokohama National University, will provide us good occasion of summarizing and discussing Japanese (and including possibly some of over-sea activities) activities in the field to make further progress toward ICCF9.

Place of JCF3 Meeting: University Hall of Yokohama National University,
Tokiwadai 79-5, Hotogayaku, Yokohama, Japan

Date: October 25-26, 2001

Topics: nuclear products, excess heat, low energy nuclear reactions, fusion,
fission, materials, experimental techniques, theories, CF politics, etc.

Presentation: oral presentation (English or Japanese) in 20-25 min per paper

Abstract dead-line: September 10, 2001 ( send via attached file in e-mail to
(mohta@newjapan.nucl.eng.osaka-u.ac.jp) or usual mail, to
JCF-desk, Takahashi laboratory, Department of Nuclear Engineering,
Osaka University, Yamadaoka 2-1, Suita, Osaka, Japan

Abstract style: 1-2 pages, A4 format in free style, write in English
Title, names (mark presenter), affiliation, keywords (4-5),
main sentences, figures, tables, references

Registration: on Meeting site in the Morning of October 25, 2001
registration fee: 5,000 yen
banquet: 5,000 yen

Information of JCF2

Dear CF researchers:

It was very nice and successful that the ICCF8 meeting at Lerici Italy was held to meet great efforts. Especially, there were reported many convincing results on He-4 production in correlation with excess heat, but without neutron emission, and fission-like nuclear products. We saw reproducibility improved much. Our CF study seems getting into the intrinsic phase to fix its science, and we expect rapid progress from now on.
Japanese CF researchers continue to show significant contribution to its progress. With the great help of you, we could have founded the Japanese CF-research Society and had the first meeting JCF1 in the end of March 1999, vigorously to talk and discuss on the CF results and theories. For the second meeting, we postponed half a year because of the ICCF8 in the last May.
Here we are sending you the first circular of JCF2 (The Second Japan Meeting on Nuclear Reactions in Solid) on October 21 and 22 at Hokkaido University, as planned as follows. You are kindly invited to attend the meeting and present your works. Sincerely yours,

Akito Takahashi, Director-in-Chief, JCF
Professor, Osaka University
